The howls come from the south. In Santiago de Chile there are many stray dogs in all shapes and fur coats, and one of those is barking in this single:. PERROSKY, Alejandro Gómez, nicknamed for its resemblance to certain thin black stray dog wanders the streets sniffing and eating what he finds there accompanied by his faithful companion, his brother Alvaro. They are not new dogs: since the turn of the millennium they tune their sense of smell and hearing to establish their label Algo Records shaping a sound that has been called "the Chilean blues." Here the cry of slaves in the Mississippi Delta is just the beginning with a present and particular language, crossed by the electricity and vortex of the capital. This pair can be seen dressed in second-hand costumes performing in hovels or chic international scenarios and in one of these wanderings they came across a wise older dog still, Jon Spencer, who invited them to his lair to record Tostado (2010, Algo Records), Perrosky’s seventh album from which it appears “En la Línea” an unpublished move along with the leader of the Blues Explosion and Heavy Trash “Todo” (Jon’s Jam) Two Chilean stray dogs wandering around New York, an image so striking as the dirty, vibrant and contagious sound of Perrosky.
